March to August 2010 – Brazilian Hip Hop and Rock

Coming from Rio their songs detail much of the impact that the absurd and crippling levels of violence and corruption that reign in the city have on the day to day lives of Cariocas (inhabitants of Rio). They performed in London's Coronet Theatre in the spring of 2009 - a breathtaking and energetic performance. And I can happily say that I wasn't disappointed in North London two years later on, the atmosphere and their searing rendition of Jimi Hendrix's Hey Joe being both worth the trip across the city alone.

June to August 2010 – MPB Pop and Axe

Carla Visi is a talented singer and graduated of journalism from Salvador, Bahia. She has a brilliant album in which she sings Gilberto Gil's songs and also has feature the man himself in a couple of tracks. Her sweet voice is perfect to sing Axe and other romantic music styles from Bahia.

This is Ramalho’s first European tour. The great man has lots of memorable hits to his biography, one of the most important singers and song writers to come out of Paraiba, Brazil. His music has a touch of Forró with plenty of magic and full of raw life and experiences.

March to August 2010 – Samba MPB

Leleo is a singer, composer and Acid Samba DJ signed to the UK label Acid Jazz, with a very danceable electronic samba swing album released late autono 2008. He’s done 2 very successful gigs in London at Guanabara and the ICA and was recommended by the London magazine Time Out as one of the best gigs in town on the 4th of October 2007.
